Ik kijk graag naar sterbedekkingen door de Maan.
Mijn eerste sterbedekking was de bedekking van Aldebaran op 11 april
1978.
Ik heb altijd bedekkingen visueel waargenomen - tót 18 juni 2005.
I love to
observe occultations of stars by the Moon.
The first occultation I observed was the occultation of Aldebaran on
April 11, 1978.
I have always observed them visual - until June 18, 2005.
REGULUS GRAZE -
Nieuwlande, The Netherlands - 2007 OCTOBER 7
SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION OF DOA (Dutch Occultation Association) TO GRAZING OCCULTATION OF
REGULUS (Alpha LEO).

Results from my video observation
I taped this video on my Sony TRV240E
camcorder, that has a 'video in' function. The film was later imported to
the PC using Pinnacle Studio and with the help of VirtualDub I was able to
load the avi-file into
Limovie. I measured all frames manually, what
turned out to be a hell of a job. But it was well worth the effort as you can see below.
Adri
Gerritsen combined all observations to make this reduction. The straight
lines show how each observer saw Regulus moving along the Moon's valleys and
hills. A very nice result indeed.
A photographic impression
The DOA observers of the Regulus graze, from left to
right:
Hans Govaarts (expedition leader), Henk Masselink, Erwin van Ballegoy, Alex Scholten,
Boelie Boelens, Jan Maarten Winkel, Wim Nobel, Harrie Rutten,
Henk Bril, Albert Ros, Adri Gerritsen, Marion Iris van der Linden,
Jos Warmerdam, Wendy Majoor, Roelof Mink.
In 2007 I started to film
occultations with a WATEC-120N video camera (see above). The WATEC is placed behind
the Takahashi Sky90 or behind the OMC 140. On April 20 I had my first success when I taped 5
occultations.
Two of these are of
the double star SAO 76880 (= XZ 6391 + XZ 6393; m9.1 + m7.1; separation
21").
